MEANING OF VALUE EDUCATION
A Value means that idea man live for. Values are part and parcel of the philosophy of nation and that of its education system. They are the guiding principle of life which are conducive to all round development of individual. The word value is derived from the Latin word 'VALERIE meaning to be strong and vigorous, to be of value, to have certain virtue. A widely accepted concept of value in ancient philosophy is as ''TRUTH, GOODNESS, AND beauty''better known as Indian philosophy ''SATYAM SHIVAM SUNDARAM '' according to the join philosophy value is celibacy, asceticism and control of sense. In Buddhist philosophy - liberation and service of sentient being of the world is value.
Value is a dynamic process of life. It is changeable according to need ,demand, urges, situation and problem of life. A value can be defined as an endeavour which satisfies need system, psychology as well as practical.
The meaning of value is different from different person. It is related to something valued by a different concerned. A person considers a thing to be more valuable if it is give him or her greater satisfaction than other things. man gives weightage to values of an object according to his likes, dislikes ,approval, and disapproval. This values keep on changing because the nature, likes, dislikes, that's of man is ever changing.

WAYS TO IMPART VALUE EDUCATION :
value oriented education has been become one of the basic areas of the educational system of INDIA the involvement of the whole society is required in providing value education to the children. In this regard COLERDGE remarks :man may be made better not as a consequence of education but during the process of education ''some of techniques ,which can be included in the school to impart value-based education
1 all subjects in the school curriculum should be used for the inclusion of right value.
2 community prayer should be school
3 The school should take up regular cleanliness programmes involvement the students in it .this halo to teach them 'dignity of labour.
4 community service programmes should be take up by the school in the community fair and festivals.
5 The school must celebrate national day and international day.
6 Dramas and depicting should be shown to the students from a vary early age
